Our Story
Clean Food School was born from a simple observation: most people want to eat better, but they struggle with practical knowledge. In the heart of Heraklion, our founder Sophia Papadimitriou—a culinary arts instructor with over a decade of experience—recognized that traditional cooking schools focused on complex techniques that intimidated home cooks. She saw a gap between restaurant cooking and everyday nourishment.
Starting with small workshops in her kitchen studio, Sophia began teaching neighbors and friends how to transform simple, whole ingredients into satisfying snacks. The response was overwhelming. People weren't just learning recipes; they were discovering confidence in the kitchen, understanding how flavors work together, and most importantly, enjoying the process of feeding themselves well.
What began as evening classes grew into a full educational platform. Today, Clean Food School serves many learners seeking to build a sustainable, enjoyable relationship with food. Our mission remains unchanged: make healthy snack preparation accessible, inspiring, and genuinely fun.

Our Approach to Teaching
Foundation First
We begin with understanding ingredients—where they come from, how they behave, what they contribute to flavor and nourishment. This knowledge becomes your foundation for adapting and creating.
Hands-On Practice
Theory without practice is incomplete. Our curriculum emphasizes doing—making recipes, experimenting with variations, building muscle memory and intuition in your own kitchen.
Real-World Application
Every technique and recipe is tested in home kitchens with real schedules and constraints. We teach what actually works, not what looks good on camera.
Continuous Community
Learning doesn't end when a course finishes. Our community spaces allow you to ask questions, share discoveries, and stay inspired by the progress of fellow learners.
